Statement of suitability

Having worked in Early Years for many years I feel I have gained many attributes that’s would help me to fulfil the role of an Early Years Consultant.  Throughout my years of experience, I have established a solid understanding of child development, and this is evident in my approach and ability to promote an effective learning environment that best serves each and every child. Because of my passion for Early Years, I have strived to continuously develop and improve my knowledge through study with my most recent degree as an Early Years Teacher. I feel this has further enabled me to be an effective and well informed professional.  This degree developed a deeper understanding of the Early Years curriculum and I acquired the ability to to become a research-engaged teacher by gathering relevant information and evidence to support many areas of learning within my practice.

As a highly organised and motivated individual I feel I can raise the standards for children with my excellent knowledge in the role of an Ofsted Inspector. I have a solid understanding of the EYFS and understand how valuable this is as a tool to provide highly effective learning environments for all children, as well as safeguarding children’s welfare.
In my role as a Montessori teacher we are constantly observing children. Through observation we can accurately infer what is needed to modify the environment to best suit each child’s learning and development as well as assess situations, children and strategies without judgement. This is a crucial tool in Early Years Assessment as we cannot rely on data at this age group to show how children are progressing.
Throughout my career I have worked in partnership with others, supporting children and their families. I have excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Within my role as an Ofsted inspector, communication is paramount. I am an empathic listener and persuasive speaker and have the ability to manage difficult situations.
I am a very organised individual, who keeps up to date with policies and procedures to ensure that I deliver best practice at all times. I believe I can be an asset to the team, working in partnership with others and supporting and guiding the development of team members.
